Conservatives biggest weakness is their greatest strength. Before you the reader presupposes the part time dementia part of this old farmer’s son turned Texas drifter is showing. Withhold your opinion until you realize that conservative patriot’s greatest strength is free will.
Benjamin Franklin chose America’s future over his son and his son’s support for England during America’s War for Independence. Loyalty to common principles sometimes requires comradeship with those who have different free will interpretations of common principles.
Three most recognized military officers during Texas War for Independence were and still are General Houston, Colonel Travis, and Colonel Bowie. What most people do not know is that these three military officers did like each other.
Houston and Travis both publicly stated that they never did like each other. Bowie reportedly told Houston that his strategy to win war was dumbest blanking thing he had ever heard.
Travis and Bowie made a gentleman’s agreement to settle their differences in a duel to death when war was over. Something to ask yourself, why would two men who were willing to kill each other during peace time be willing to die fighting side by side behind crumbling walls of an old church?
Primary distinction between most liberal Democrats and most conservative Republicans is as simple as understanding distinctions between supporting evil out of greed, vanity, or hate; and tolerating misinterpretations of shared principles by free will decisions.
This writing exercise compares people who live by principle and those who live for principal. Houston, Travis, and Bowie all understood that sharing common principles based on free will decisions with people does not mean you have to like or socialize with them.
Contemporary example, I do not partially like Bush II strategies on fighting terrorism, immigration reform, expanding government socialism in name of compassionate welfare, or trade policies which are destroying America’s domestic manufacturing base. Care less for Bush II collaborating with socialist democrats to nationalize America’s housing, financial, manufacturing industries, and any other unethical business that considers bribing government cost of doing business. It seems most Republican elected have misrepresented every principle conservatives share in common.
Conservatives primary principle, goal, strategy, and tactic defending America’s Constitution from all enemies domestic and foreign.
Time to compare Marxist Democrats and internationalist compromising Republicans to accomplishments of conservative Republicans and Reagan Democrats; populists are not included in comparisons simply because mob rule results in anarchy like that of French Revolution.
Starting with destructive Marxist Socialist Democrats’ policies: more public sector discrimination; more societal prejudice; more promiscuity; more broken families; more bigger and incompetent government bureaucracies; permanent welfare class; destruction of private sector middle class; weaker military; pampering terrorists; more illegal immigration; lower public health standards; more public health pandemics; more crime; reduction of constitutional standards and inalienable rights reaffirmed in Bill of Rights; and less healthy environments from environmental fascism called Greenism. List could be added too, but I will leave that up to you.
Moving on to failed policies of internationalist compromisers better know as moderate Republicans. Results are minimally different than Carter’s Chamberlain type administration.One incompetent war against terrorism strategy (not post event conclusions rather observations made before Bush II invaded Iraq) the primary valid objective was to buy time to improve Homeland security defenses.
Best strategy would have been to put majority of resources in Afghanistan to permanently crush and eradicate Taliban, then lease isolated easily defendable terrain for fifty years to establish base to harass and destroy neighborhood trouble makes like Iraq, Iran, Syria, or help some not all allies like Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, India all while improving America’s homeland defenses.
Proper strategy while and after setting up base in Afghanistan should have been while proceeding with primary objective building America’s Homeland defenses starting with perimeter security, gather intelligence on terrorists world wide; counter intelligence covert operations to weaken terrorist organizations and get terrorists to start killing each other; track down and kill terrorists at every presented opportunity; and continue killing remaining terrorists as future examples for terrorist collaborators.
Bush’s advisers apparently convinced him to use enough troops in Iraq and Afghanistan to win war but not manage peace; while at same time ignoring building up Homeland’s defenses. Ever heard of porous borders and amnesty which encourages illegal immigrants to flood into America while providing cover for terrorists to enter America?
Continued Republican and Democrats actions of not securing America’s Southern border while inciting illegal immigrants to primarily leave Mexico, will only delay eventual violent revolution in Mexico and guaranteed terrorist attacks on American soil. Obvious future fact kept secret by some public advisers, why else were terrorist attacks on American soil redefined based on number of casualties? Terrorist attacks killing small numbers of Americans have been reclassified as hate crimes.
Counterfeit conservatives are putting America’s security last by supporting internationalist trade treaties which destroy America’s domestic manufacturing base; destroy America’s private sector middle class using illegal immigrants, and destroys America’s ruling government by establishing a Northern hemisphere unelected government among Mexico, Canada, and United States. Could continue about counterfeit conservative national security threats, but point has been made.
Anti conservative aristocrats and moderate Republicans are using internationalist greed based strategies: and government controlled economic policies to addict America’s economy to consumer debt. Bad times are coming, example Federal Reserve adopting government policies mirroring Germany’s nationalist socialism used to rebuild Germany’s economy following World War I which eventually creates World War II imperialism.
The difference between Marxism and fascism, in Marxist economies, all property and means of production are owned by government. In fascist economies, property and means of production are owned by private sector, but so related by government that eventually there is little difference between Marxism and fascism.
Now the good part, conservative accomplishments based on equal opportunity without privilege based on life, liberty, and free will: created Declaration of Independence; won America’s Revolutionary War; created and adopted Constitution and Bill of Rights; Monroe Doctrine; supported Texas War for Independence; Manifest Destiny; fought Civil War end private sector slavery not establish public sector slavery; settled West; revolutionized industrialization that introduced America to world as superpower; T. Roosevelt’s conservation policies; T. Roosevelt’s anti monopoly policies; won World War I; survived Great Depression; won World War II; won Cold War; expanded capitalism world wide; built world’s wealthiest nation; led and still lead world’s scientific and technology revolution; world’s leading hope destroy terrorism; my point made, I am sure readers can add many more of their own examples.
Conservative patriots need recognize threats and how to defend themselves. Points that cannot be over looked, reminding conservatives they have a right to defend themselves, their families, country, and Constitution from bad guys; and second remind conservatives what they stand to lose if bad guys win.
Finally, free will can cause different individuals to interpret same principles differently. Three Texas military officers plus two Founding Fathers, Jefferson and Adams, taught us that prudence requires defeating common enemies before settling personal dislikes or differences.
